Excellent value and a great way to see the city.

I bought a voucher in the UK to be exchanged for a ticket in Budapest. The morning I tried to do this, the bus driver said that I was on the wrong bus and wouldn't let me proceed. It was raining quite hard and my wife and I were cold and wet. I waited in the rain, sheltering as best I could under my wife's small umbrella for 20 minutes until the next bus arrived. Same company, just a different driver. The courier did not know how to convert my voucher to a bus ticket but let me stay on the bus until we got to the Big Bus office in the city centre. I was very angry by this time and said so to Adam in the office in town. Adam apologised profusely and then did what needed to be done to issue a ticket. At no time was Adam at all flustered, he calmly did his job and I was very happy with the outcome. He later suggested that I tell his Manager (Vivi?) what had happened and she, too, could not apologise enough. She actually extended the validity of my ticket for an extra day so thanks to all.

Definietely a good way to see everything!

I got the 72 hour Deluxe package and I walked up to my nearest Big Bus stop (Clark Adams Ter) and got my tickets. Went on the Blue line tour then the Castle Shuttle. Amazing views of the city from up there. Went on the Red Line and the River Cruise on my last afternoon and evening. You should arrive 30 minutes before the set departure time for the Cruise or you won't get a place (as I found out on my first attempt). I was too tired to do the full cruise so go t off after 45 mins at the second stop. Overall, a great way to know where everything is. Realised on the last day that I'd already been to Heroes Square twice (Szchenyi spa day)!

Good overall but short on details of buildings / sites along the road.

Would have liked to have information about the key buildings passed between stops. Often the information received was well in advance or after the building being described. There were numerous sites shown on the bus maps but not mentioned as we travelled, so we could not be sure where to get off or what direction/street to take to find it. Suggest also that instead of hearing just “This is your stop” the commentator say “this is stop number ...”.

Best way to see the city and river but bus stops not clear

Enjoyed seeing the sights by bus. You can get on and off where you like. We took the 3 day option including the river cruise. We wished that the bus stop numbers were higher and clearer as we couldn’t see them properly. Also would be a good idea to display the numbers on a screen in the bus or for the driver to announce them. My headphones didn’t work either so missed all the commentary

Great value for money, giving an excellent overview of Budapest sights

We were very pleased with the tour overall. Would definitely recommend the 2 or 3 day ticket rather than the 24 hour one. The guide in the walking tour was very informative. Boat tour also provided a relaxing scenic break.
