Full description
A bonfire at the beach is not the first thing you might think of when visiting the Arctic, but Lofoten’s unique climate means that even in the depths of winter, you can enjoy the seaside. And not just any seaside! Located between mountains and the Norwegian Sea on the island's outer coast, an area believed by many to be the most spectacular part of Lofoten, is Haukland Beach.

The island of Lofoten was voted by Norwegians themselves as the most beautiful place in the country, and Uttakleiv also chosen by British newspaper The Times as "The Most Romantic Beach in Europe". A 5 kilometer hike along the old road around the headland connects the two, with views encompassing the beaches, the open sea, the village of Uttakleiv, and the mountains beyond.

Whilst there you will be free to indulge in a hot drink and a snack by the roaring flames of the fire. At the conclusion of your beach side experience, you will be returned back to Leknes.
