Full description
After walking through the passage of the modern Speck’s Hof, you will first reach St. Nicholas Church with its churchyard that was the center of events in the autumn of 1989. Then, head towards Augustusplatz with the Opera House and Gewandhaus Concert Hall and the newly arising university complex. Opposite the Naschmarkt with the Old Stock Exchange, you will see Leipzig’s most famous arcade – Mädler Passage. Next to the entrances to Auerbach’s Keller, the word-famous restaurant, there will be two groups of figures connected with Goethe’s drama “Faust.” The location has been a restaurant since the beginning of the 16th century. The Old Town Hall, one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in Germany, is situated on the eastern side of the Market Square. You will then pass Barthel’s Hof, a passage courtyard leading to the city's most famous pub mile – Barfußgässchen. Numerous pubs and restaurants mark the path through Leipzig’s most famous alley. The last highlight of the tour will be St. Thomas Church, the main church of the Thomanerchor, Leipzig’s famous boys choir that is appreciated all over the world.

    In 1,5h Stunden kann man natürlich nicht die ganze Geschichte der Stadt Leipzig zeigen und erläutern. Die Auszüge + dem gesehenen Objekten der Stadt waren gut übermittelt mit der Prise - Leute kommt wieder es gibt noch so viel mehr zu sehen und zu erzählen. Der Stadtrundgang ist sehr zu empfehlen.

    Trotz Regenwetters super Stadtführung!!

    Unser Stadtführer hat uns viele Informationen und tolle Stellen in Leipzig gezeigt. Durch seine frühere Tätigkeit in der Denkmalpflege hat er uns auch viele stadtgeschichtliche Details erläutert, die wir sonst wahrscheinlich nicht erhalten hätten. Die 1, 5 Std. vergingen sehr schnell und wir konnten uns anschließend sehr gut in Leipzig orientieren. Am nächsten Tag haben wir einige Stellen ganz bewusst noch einmal angesteuert, um sie genauer zu betrachten. Wir waren rundum zufrieden!!
