What people are saying about Launceston
From pick up to drop off, our guide Steven was considerate of the needs of his group. The trip was educational, relaxed and a wonderful opportunity to see this part of the coast without the stress of working out an itinerary on my own. History, flora and fauna were all covered and advice on how the day would unfold was provided from the beginning. The website gave an outline of what to bring so no hidden surprises and I set off feeling prepared for a great day out and about.
The tour is worth doing and very interesting with the guide giving all the information along the drive to cradle mountain of the small towns that we pasted throw and once we go there he took us on a guided tour around Dove Lake and explained the flora and fawner that was there and the history about how it go back to be owned by the state. The rain forest walk was very interesting with the King Billy pines, also saw live wombats.
Everything went well from the pick-up, during the tour and end of the tour. Bob our driver even provide us with a waterproof jacket to keep us from getting wet during the tour. Had a great view of Cradle Mountain. Lake Dove was beautiful.
A great day-tour from Launceston to Hobart; an easy walk up to the Wineglass Lookout, however, the weather was so foggy that the wineglass bay could hardly be seen.
Great day out despite cruel weather. Ben was a super guide. Knowledable and very safety conscious.
