What people are saying about Lagos, Portugal
The instructions said to arrive 20 minutes before departure which we did. The boat was very late arriving - 30 minutes. So we departed one hour late. The rep who appeared at the gate was completely useless. Just said “ oh the boat should be here” with about 35 people left wondering if it would arrive at all. Once on board the trip was excellent and the crew superb. Don’t ask people to arrive early when there is a perfectly understandable possibility that the incoming boat will be late. The rep needs to be in communication with the boat and needs to relay the ETA as a bare minimum. It would also have been a good gesture to offer everyone a free drink in light of the delay - a vet low price option to show some customer focus.
This was a great and fast way to get to see the Benagil cave from Lagos. The only negative was that the boat ride back was very bumpy because the boat was going very fast and bouncing in the air from hitting the waves. My daughters and I loved it and thought it was fun. But my husband unfortunately suffers from back pain and the high speed wave bumping made his ride back quite painful.
You can tell that both hosts were passionate about what they do which is really important and made the trip all the more enjoyable. Lagos is really busy with tourists and there are loads of companies for kayaks, small boats etc but I can assure Ricardo will take excellent care of you. Thank you for the perfect kayak experience of Pont de Piedade. Joelle & Nathan Gibraltar
The guys were excellent hosts, we were made feel welcome and relaxed. As well as learning about the history of Lagos' cliffs and caves we also had a lot of fun when the boat stopped for an hour so we could enjoy the water sports, have some drinks and take some pictures. I would 100% recommend this cruise for the whole family and would definitely do it again!
Our guide was great and made an effort to get to know us! He was really comfortable handling the boat, and it was also small enough so we were able to get into the cracks and touch them. Our guide also spoke a couple different languages, and was able to explain what the different rock formations were named. Would highly recommend!!!
