What people are saying about Lago Verde
What started out as a sedate cruise on an overcast day turned out, to our delight, to be party-cat, with dancing and sangria in the sun! We loved the wigs! Floating behind the cat on the raft was fun also! Thank you to Laura, the skipper, and the crew for being such fun, so up-for-it, and great hosts. It was the highlight of our holiday and we won’t forget you. Oh, and the paella was fantastic!
Our guide, Raquel, was very knowledgeable and happy to take the time to answer all our questions. The trail itself wasn't very difficult and gave a nice view on the different aspects of the volcanic activity in Lanzarote. We were a small group (5) which made the hike in the volcano area very enjoyable.
This is not a tour to actually walk around the volcanoes (you need to book a “hike around the volcano” tour for that) but gives a good background knowledge of them. The demonstrations of the heat from the trapped magma were amazing and educational. Going around the lava beds and volcanoes by coach was a fantastic incite showing the different formations caused by lava and gas which had come from the volcanoes during their eruptions in the 1730s. The vineyard part of the tour was good for wine lovers as you get to try some local wines and the way they grow the vines is very ingenious. Finally the Jameos del Agua was unbelievable. How someone can see a cave that was once full of the locals rubbish, and then create a wonderful place to eat and provide a great venue for parties and weddings was incredible, and the bonus of an auditorium with its great acoustics - outstanding.
It is a long day in the hot sun, theres no escaping the fact, but it was very interesting and definitley made me want to explore more of the island. Out guide, Antonio was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Excellent family day out. I highly recommend this activity. A great day out from start to finish.
