Full description
Join this full-day bus tour to see the scenic Amanohashidate and the traditional Miyama! The tour has two departure/arrival locations, Osaka and Kyoto.

The first stop of this tour is the Amanohashidate Chion-ji temple. At the southern entrance of Amanohashidate sandbar lies the Zen temple Chion-ji. Since it houses the Buddhist god of wisdom and intellect, it attracts a lot of students and all those who are wishing for success in their academics. After that, ride the sightseeing boat where you can feel the length of Amanohashidate, which is a scenic strip of sand covered in pine trees. This is supposed to be one of the “three most scenic spots of Japan”. The word Amanohashidate literally means bridge of the Heaven and is said to look like a path between Earth and the Heaven.

Have a traditional Japanese lunch around Kasamatsu park before proceeding to the next stop, Miyama. This is a rural area located amidst the mountains in Kyoto. It is especially famous for its thatched roof (farmhouses), giving it a nostalgic feel of traditional Kyoto. And, the most popular attraction here is the Kayabuki no Sato which has around 40 thatched roofed houses.
