What people are saying about Kyoto
We had limited time in Kyoto and had spent too much time on the Tokyo metro gettin from place to place so I booked this for my 12 year old son and me. It was air-conditioned and so comfortable and took out the extraneous transport times from place to place. I loved that we had mostly time on our own at the temples, just given times to meet back. We opted for the tofu lunch and it was a dining experience that was just amazing. I've never tasted tofu like that! The buses seemed well coordinated with outher tour buses so we were never jam packed. The guide was just fantastic. When we didn't have umbrellas at the Golden Pavilion and it was pouring, she ran back to the bus to find us some. I've already recommended this very tour to friends going to Japan next week!
Tour was excellent. The Temples, shrines, bamboo forest and the golden pavilion were all very interesting. Great tour if you want to visit Unesco sites and experience some Japanese history. Our tour guides were fantastic. Ryosuke was very informative and quite funny at times, making the tour very enjoyable.
This was a great day visiting some of the best known temples and shrines in the Kyoto area. It was expertly led by Yurika who was knowledgeable, organised, funny and great company. She was welcoming, endlessly informative and so friendly and happy. It was a great environment to spend a day.
Our guide was great and managed the large crowd well. We saw four Maiko-San, which was more than I expected. For the price you have to deal with a large crowd but the guide was super and I learned a lot!
Good tour. We wanted to learn about Gion and Geishas. We also wanted to know how to see a geisha. We learned quite a bit, saw a couple of geisha and were able to spot 2 more later in the evening.
