Full description
Experience the culture and fresh air of the Polish highlands. Explore the area from the vigorous city center to wooden churches and majestic mountain views.

On your way to Zakopane you will experience an unforgettable time in the small village of Chochołów, where you can admire a great number of cottages preserved from the 18th century. You'll also visit their interiors to see how the highlanders used to live more than a century ago in that area.

After you arrive in Zakopane you will walk through its old district to see that oldest church in the town, a cemetery at Pęksowy Brzyzek and the Museum of Zakopane Style.

You'll be given a break in the city center, where you can try delicious regional cuisine and get some adorable souvenirs from the local open-air market.

To discover the panorama of the Tatra Mountains you'll ride up to Gubałówka Mound with a funicular. After a short walk along the hill, you'll reach the chairlift station to ride down above the Szymoszkowa Glade back to the town.

But that's not all! Your guide will also show you the ski jump area and a marvel of the wooden architecture - the Jaszczurówka Chapel, which is hidden just outside Zakopane.

A lovely introduction for our first day in Poland

Relaxing coach ride, great scenery, informative stop at Chocholow en route. Our guide Kassia was very nice and we enjoyed our free time in Zakopane, first eating lunch and then watching an unexpected parade through the town. We then met up with our small group again and were guided to a church and cemetery before a trip on the funicular to soak up great views of the Tatra mountains. After a short walk along the mountain top (which was spoilt a little by vendors and crowds) we took the 6-person chair lift down the mountain and back to the coach. All in all, a great day and wonderful to see the different faces of Poland.

Great trip , informative guide . Definitely recommend to others

We had thought about getting the train from Krakow but decided on a guided tour . Very glad we did as we stopped at the Wooden Village and the cheese vendors on the way to Zacopane . Our guide was very informative during our walk through the town . Our trip included going up the mountain in the fenicular railway and coming back down on a chair lift . I’m not good with heights so he sorted it for us to go up and back on the fenicular instead of the chair lift . We stopped off at the oldest chapel in the town on the way back . Definitely worth the money
