Full description
During this 3-hour tour you’ll explore the district of Kazimierz, Krakow’s artsy neighborhood characterized by lovely small streets and trendy cafés. This is an area comprised of buildings that witnessed Krakow’s Holocaust.

Before World War II, Jewish culture flourished in this neighborhood for centuries. Steven Spielberg filmed scenes from his Oscar award winning-movie Schindler’s List here.

You’ll continue on to the district of Podgórze to see Oskar Schindler's factory and the remnants of the World War II ghetto that have survived.

In Kazimierz you’ll visit Wolnica Square, the former Jewish district with its synagogues, and the old meat market. In Podgórze district you’ll see the main square of the former ghetto, the remains of the ghetto wall, and Oscar Schindler's factory.

Afterwards you’ll have time for a half-hour coffee break to discuss the rebirth of the Jewish quarter, and hear about local legends and customs.

One of the best tours during my stay.

During my 5 days I had two tour booked each day and I can say without doubt this was one on the best. The young man had loads of knowledge and enthusiasm to pass it on. Lots of interest here even for those with no prior knowledge about Oscar Schindler.

our guide was Alex and he was great. very knowledgeable and a "hybrid" as he put it as he is a dual citizen and was born in the US. the tour was helpful and insightful and ends right at the Schindler factory museum for you to go into on your own after the tour (be prepared for a long line/wait and sometimes tickets may be sold out). would definitely recommend this tour to understand the history of kazimierz.
