Full description
First, travel by minivan for 1 hour and 20 minutes before you arrive at the camp.

Founded on 27 April 1940, Auschwitz became the site of extermination by inhumane conditions and physical destruction of prisoners. It was the biggest death camp of the Nazi regime and during your tour a licensed guide will sensitively take you to see the barbed wire fences, watchtowers, barracks, gallows and gas chambers; these depict the circumstances under which the Nazi genocide took place. Spend 2 hours here with a short 20 minute break.

You will also visit Birkenau, a short 5-minute drive from Auschwitz. Birkenau comprised of more than 300 buildings, including latrines, watchtowers and gas chambers. Although a challenge, it’s important to remember these events to make sure that this history is never repeated.

Spend approximately 1.5 hours here before the 1 hour 20 minute drive back to Krakow.

Our whole day was a fantastic experience that was done in a manner which was befitting the type of trip it was we had a fantastic driver and a fantastic guide for the tour so thanks to everyone the experience is strange as it is such a horrific experience that people went through and nobody could even try to understand it but standing in the area that the murders that took place is something everyone should do so it is never ever to be repeated so to say you’ll enjoy it isn’t the right words to say the experience is going to effect everyone differently but do go it is worth the heavy heart

I would recommend this tour, it took about an hour by a comfortable transfer, unfortunately we went the day they started to close the museums due to corona virus... we were told we were lucky to get on this tour.. the guide martin was very good.... my only disappointment was that we never had long enough to taken it all in, to stop and read information, and most parts were closed. We want to come back but i think i would do a self guided tour next time so we can take it in our stride as we felt regimented on a guided tour. There wasnt much time to actually stop and reflect before having to move on as there were many guided tours at the same time going in.

Matt from Comfort Tours Cracow was a fabulous driver - we were in a van and there were 6 of us. The tour itself was beautifully done with so much respect shown for the millions who died. It was quiet but harrowing. There was a lot of walking but it wasn’t rushed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The whole tour was very well organised.
