What people are saying about Korean Demilitarized Zone

The only tour with unlimited access to a NK refugee.

The only way to visit the border is through a tour. This particular tour offers full access to a North Korean refugee. You will visit the area near the Freedom Bridge, the 3rd Tunnel and the border railroad station. You’ll be able to ask any questions you wish of the refugee on the 90 minute ride back to Seoul. The tour guide will act as the interpreter. I honestly enjoyed this portion of the tour the most. Most people will be tired and shy (it’s a long day) and have no questions. You should ask as many questions as you wish because no other tour has this benefit. No question is off limits. Be warned the bus will also make a stop at a ginseng store where you will hear a sales pitch on the health benefits of Korean ginseng. One BIG warning: There are literally dozens of border tours daily with multiple companies. Thus, when you go to the pick up place (President Hotel) it will be extremely confusing. Just go in the lobby and ask.

Perfect. Half day with free time to look around

Did the half day. Great English speaking guide. Everything was explained and aswell as getting free time to look at other things.

Great experience with professional tour guide

The tour was great and tour guide was professional. Prepare yourself for the long walk. If you are claustrophobia, don’t take this tour. You will visit long underground tunnel. We spent few minutes to three spots in DMZ area. We also visit Korean Ginseng National Center on the way to Seoul.

DMZ Half- and Full-Day Tour with War Memorial of Korea Reviewed by Fina Hidayati, 10/27/2018

Amazing how much they packed in half day without feeling overwhelmed.

Learned a lot of history behind the Korean War on the bus there and saw the places our guide mentioned in person. Get a glimpse of North Korea from the Dora observatory, walk down a replica of the tunnel that the DPRK drilled that could get them to Seoul within moments, and take pics with the soldiers and DMZ sign. It was the perfect length and leaves the rest of the day for you to continue your exploration, I highly recommend this tour!

Great full day tour with knowledgeable guide!

The jsa DMZ tour was awesome! Our tour guide, SP was very nice and knowledgeable. The tour itself was very long but packed with a lot of activities. Make sure to follow the dress code although collard shirts weren't necessary, just look nice.
