Wonderful experience!! Thank you, Jinny Kim!!!!

My husband - a retired USAF pilot - and I went on the half day DMZ tour on Tuesday, 14 May 2019. We are SO glad we signed up for the tour!! To start the day, Jinny Kim and the tour bus - a very new, comfortable vehicle - arrived at our hotel. We picked up other tourists at other hotels, then headed for the DMZ. What impressed us, overall, was how well-organized the tour was. Jinny, with her personal microphone and loudspeaker, kept us well-informed about the time constraints - ‘We’ll next go to “Place X.” We will be there for “X minutes.” Departure time will be at “X” minutes past the hour.’ - while providing lots of historical and current facts about the particular sites we visited. We found the pacing of our tour was just right - not rushed at all, but also not one of those tours where we sit around wondering when in the world the bus will move on to the next spot. FIVE STARS for the tour! (And 6 STARS, if I could give 6, for Jinny Kim!! She was wonderful!!) Overall - a great time!!

Interesting, not necessarily what I had expected...

My preconceived notion of what I would see when I visited the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) was that I would see the MDL (Military Demarcation Line), the place where the area where the South Korean and American soldiers face off with the North Korean soldiers. This is not the case, instead you you are given the opportunity to stand several stories up on a building that will give you a vantage point which will allow you to see the two villages, one North Korean and one South Korean. From that vantage point the MDL is not evident. Our guide was cheerful and enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge of the facts and history of the DMZ. The walk through the tunnel under the DMZ was interesting, but arduous.

DMZ Half- and Full-Day Tour with War Memorial of Korea Reviewed by

The tour was comfortable, organized, and informative!

From the meet-up time to the drop-off time, the tour was very tightly organized. The tour guide gave us most of the information on the bus rides to each location, sometimes supplementing with additional details once we were there, but we were allowed to look around by ourselves for around 25 min at the Dora Observatory, Freedom Bridge, and Dorasan Station and around 1 hr at the Third Tunnel. The time definitely felt a little short, but every tour got the same amount of time, so it wasn't really up to our tour guide's control. Overall the tour was informative and covered a lot of locations for just half a day, but I do wish we got a little more in-depth explanations at each of the locations.

Good service with well spoken English guide

The start was a bit early (didn't have time to have breakfast) since they came to collect us at the hotel. The coach journey is very comfortable and not very long. The time allowed at each venue was slightly short (please allow extra 10minutes at each venue). The drop off was at 1:30pm at the City Hall ( even 2pm would have been ok ). Overall we enjoyed the tour.

A rewarding experience, no for the fainted hearted

This tour was the best experience we had during our brief stay in Seoul. Sadie, our local guide, was perfect in all aspects. She managed to squeeze time for everything without any compromise regarding details or answering questions. Exploring tunnel no. 3 was a physically demanding task, but it's definitely worth the effort.
