What people are saying about Killarney

Laura and family put together a great tour!

We had cold, rainy weather but the region is absolutely beautiful regardless. The boat driver was hilarious, the kind of story teller you'd imagine for Ireland, and helped make the best of the weather. He had great knowledge of the history of the tours and the area and was good at targeting information to the group. Our coordinator, Laura, was a bundle of positivity and helped make sure every aspect of our tour went smoothly. She was wonderful conversational and helpful with our tour. The jaunting car driver was short abrupt with commentary, and surprised my dad when he got kicked out to walk near the peak (they won't pressure the horses more than necessary and I had warned our group in advance that this was a possibility). Laura coordinated this part for us so the driver isn't part of their company, but it probably could have been a little better if he was more sociable or explained a bit on his own rather than when prompted. Overall, it was still a great tour and we'd recommend it!

Excellent informative tour and great value for money

The tour was very well organised, the train and coach trips very comfortable and the Drymond B&B, which was cosy and very clean, gave us a wonderful taste of Irish hospitality. We had great views of the stunning scenery and landscape of the South-west of Ireland and all admissions to points of interest such as Blarney Castle, Cliffs of Moher, etc were efficiently taken care of with adequate provisions for rest within the scheduled times. The piece de resistance of the whole tour was our guide, Jonathan Beaumont. He gave us the best possible insight of Irish hospitality and welcome, he was professional and attentive to everyone, and imparted such in-depth and accurate historical facts of Ireland especially about the Great Famine. He also gave us interesting insights into the folklore and superstitions of Ireland such as the Fairy Tree :) . Our enjoyment of the whole tour was enhanced by this very special tour guide - thank you Jonathan! Doreen and Paule from Seychelles.

Fabulous multi activity tour of Killarney National Park.

My husband and I booked this fabulous tour of Killarney National Park the day before we went. An easy bus ride through flat parts of the park, followed by a fantastic jaunting car ride up and over the spectacular Gap of Dunloe, a pause for an Irish coffee and snack midway at Brandon’s Cottage, then a small, open boat ride across three lakes and two rivers, finally ending at our starting point at Ross Castle, a 15th Century tower house castle. An incredible way to see so much of the park. Definitely a highlight of our Ireland trip!

An enjoyable way to spend an hour in Killarney

We spent an enjoyable hour's trip around the National Park. The meeting place was easy to find, next to the Malton Hotel, and parking was available in the nearby Station car park. The scenery was breath taking and would have been even better if the weather had been kinder to us! The only slight downside was that we had expected to have the jaunting car to ourselves but we found that we have to share the trip with with a group of four other people that were part of a coach trip.

It was alot of fun, very informative and a great driver.

I give this a good review. Thank goodness it was not raining as it would have been miserable. The wind was blowing making it a little cold, but the blanket provided did help. Our driver was quite nice and very informative. My Son and he had a few things in common so they chatted during the tour. It was especially nice as we were the only 2 on the tour.
