Your 5-hour tour starts at KamakurasStation, where you’ll board a bus for Jōmyō-ji. Learn about Zen philosophy in the formality of the setting at Kamakura's most prestigious temple.

Hokokuji is a popular attraction that was awarded 3 stars in the 2013 Michelin Green Guide Japon. At Hokoku temple, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy traditional green tea and admire the bamboo forest reminiscent of Arashiyama in Kyoto.

Return to Kamakura station by bus and enjoy a break for lunch at the Blacksmith, located on Komachi Street. Seafood bowls and tempura bowls using a halal sauce, are featured, and you’ll also find grilled fish on the menu.

After lunch you’ll have time for some shopping on Komachi Street, where you’ll find souvenirs that are unique to Kamakura.

Continue on to Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, built to honor the guardian deity of the samurai. Learn about the Kamakura shogunate during Japan's first samurai regime. If you’re visiting in the spring, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular cherry blossoms as you approach the Genpei pond.
