Alltogether I enjoyed the trip, the drive was long, but our guide was giving us information on the Mount Olympus we passed, How its related to the God Zeus and How Alexander the great assembled his armies. I enjoyed the trip and the Beauty to see in Greece. A really good opportunity to Escape The City Life and see something breathtaking in nature. We went to 2 Monasteries as promised. And in between we went to a really nice Spot to take pictures. It was basically the highland of taking pictures. The guys should make sure to wear pants for the monasteries, based on their religious beliefs.
Meteora is amazing place to visit, but it is best to rent a car to go there. This tour is ok, but the guides are not telling much and not very motivated. We visited only 2 monasteries and lunch was very late! They don’t tell the schedule in advance, which did not help to preare best for the trip. They only make one stop on the way and there is no toilet in the bus. The lunch was very basic and small portion, so take snacks.
Perfect food tour. You get much more than described. Georgia, the excellent guide, met me at the location and we went on a four hours tour that felt like 10 minutes because it because it was so good. We tried out and tasted so many foods all of them were excellent. This Tour is highly recommended and don’t hesitate to take the four or six hour tour it because they’re worth it.
It was a very cloudy day and so the very darkened coach windows made for an even drearier environment! In baking sunshine they might have been an asset. Looking at a map a variation in route out and back would have been preferred as there would seem to be a motorway route available to the north of Meteora now as well as the route via Larissa. Anna the guide was informative.
I spent a lovely day in Meteora with a small group. The guide explained a lot. It was great to be in a small group this we were very flexible and got to get lunch in a family restaurant instead of a tourist spot. The tour should not be offered bilingual. Lot of explanation was in Greek which made the rest of the group just stand around waiting for the English part
