Hear how Jews, Christians, and Muslims were joined by the British, French, Italians, Russians, Germans, Spaniards, Ethiopians, and many other nationalities. For a brief moment in history, everyone lived together with a degree of harmony.

Explore how the communities grew and their cultures and religions collided. Encounter monuments built to withstand earthquakes, bullets, and bombs. See a Russian compound housing a church, police station, and prison, along with an Ethiopian church and community next to a building erected by a German protestant architect.
