Full description
Day 1:
Start the tour with pickup from your hotel in Eilat at 8 AM. Cross the border into Jordan and travel north towards Jerash. When you arrive, explore the well-preserved Roman ruins of this ancient city on a 2-hour tour. See some of the main sights of the ruins including 2 theaters, the hippodrome, and the oval forum. Then, proceed to Petra for dinner and an overnight stay at a 3-star hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on your journey to the "Red Rose City" of Petra. Upon arrival, take a horse ride through the Siq (canyon) with vibrant red sandstone surrounding you on all sides.
Discover the wonders of this famous archeological site including the Treasury, the Theater, and many other points of interest on a 4-hour private guided tour. Learn more about the history of the Nabataean civilization who inhabited the area as far back as the 4th century BC.
After the tour, have lunch in a local restaurant and then travel to the border crossing at Arava. Cross back into Israel and finish the tour with drop-off in Eilat.
