Great boat ride, disappointing wait beforehand

We loved the boat tour of the bayou! We were disappointed though by the lack of organization or information that we experienced after arriving at the dock and prior to boarding the boat. Upon arriving at the dock, we were encouraged by a man who came on board the shuttle to visit the gift shop and use the restroom. That was fine but then there was no information for nearly 30 mins after that in terms of where to wait or how long we would be waiting. Eventually we figured out where we should go by asking around, only to wait a long time. It just would have been nice to know we would have to wait for a while and where we should expect to wait. Our tour guide was excellent. The pick up and drop off by Gray Line was satisfactory.

At any speed, exploring the swamp was a blast!

We started early, which was nice, because it was hot when we weren't moving. But we we were moving a lot and it kept us cool. We went fast down the waterways and slowed down to take pics and ask questions in some of the tour guides fave spots. We only got stuck once, when the guide took a turn too fast and we veered into the swamp. Was okay though. Another boat quickly got us out and while we waited we got to play with a baby alligator which tour guide had on board in a cooler. The views were magnificent. We saw alligators, egrets, swamp chickens, turtles and lots of flowing spanish moss. Would highly recommend this company and this event to anyone. Wear your ear protection. It got loud without it!

Great activity! Nice to experience local wildlife outside the city.

We had a great time at our swamp tour. We got lucky enough to see over a dozen alligators, several turtles, and a few different species of birds! Our guy would not let us pet the wild alligators, but he brought along a baby that each of us got to hold and pet! Lots of knowledge. Got lucky with great weather. The airboat is also tons of fun!

It was a nice boat ride and the guide was great.

In addition to my above comment, might add there was a lot of empty time in the tour? We did not get onto the boat until more than 45 minutes after we arrived. After the boat ride, we hung around for 35 more minutes before we left. We were a small group and I did not think that much time was needed for those in need to use the facilities.

Fun on the water took forever to load the bus.

The guild was very entertaining, we saw one gator, ( I think it was real, it was from a distance, could have been a cement fakey). The fan boat was a blast! To load the bus was real slow and unorganized. The driver drove slow and talked a lot on the way to the swamp on the way back no talkie and drove like a bat out of hell.
