What people are saying about Jatiluwih
We did the 2hr cycle in early June. This was just as harvesting of the rice had recently commenced. So the lush green paddies were not so lush or green. But this was more than compensated by being amongst the busy harvesting activities. The number of local people in the paddies in conjunction with some at-times narrow paths (plus really sensitive throttles on the electric bikes) made for challenging times. There were a few spills - no major injuries since harvested rice makes for a soft (& dry) landing. Only injuries were to our dignity. Word of warning though... The lunch provided is from a private house in the fields - not a restaurant. Apply your usual cautions when eating meat (here chicken satay) where you have some doubts about its providence My wife did, I didn't. BIG mistake. It tasted great at the time... But spooled what was otherwise a great day. Best bits = the people, the scenery, insights into traditional rice growing. Worst bits = supplied lunch (exercise caution).
Thanks to our wonderful guide Erick who made this trip so special ! He explained us so much of the culture and balinese history during the trip and made it much better. The temple at the Bratanlake with the mountains in the background are a wonderful experience pictures cannot explain. And the waterfall was one of the most beautiful things i have experienced. Swimming there, while it was raining, is something i will never forget. Last but not least, Erick guided us through ricefields apart from the famous ones in ubud. Here was a peace and silence apart from the touristic hectic. I recommend this trip to everyone visiting bali. When you are booking, ask for Erick as your guide if you are not only interested in the spots, but also in balinese culture and history. Thank you for a beautiful time !
The service and the trip exceeded our expectations thanks to the personalized service provided through Get Ypur Guide company. Easy to book paying with your own currency before traveling. Company kept us up-to-date with our planned organized tours Offering great service with in time pick up and door to door transport service. good English speaking guides for our different trips we did with this company. We were very happy and delighted with the service and would highly recommend them. One tour driver proved cold water during our trip and cold towels which he brought in a cooler- just what we needed. This went beyond our expectations and from a customer service point of view this was fantastic!
We felt our guide totally made this experience superb. Kamang was super polite and friendly and made us feel so comfortable throughout the tour. He was very passionate about Bali, it's culture and religion. He shared so much interesting information about Bali and the sites we visited. He had the perfect balance of guiding us through the sites as well as giving us time to explore on our own. He also helped us take fantastic photos!! Most of all he even helped us avoid serious traffic after a long day of driving. We would highly recommend this tour with Kamang as your guide.
The tour offers some of Balis most beautiful and amazing spots and thanks to our awesome guide Sintya it was an extraordinary experience. Though there is a lot of driving and heavy traffic along the way, it was really worth it! Sintya provided us lots of information concerning the sites, culture and modern Bali, so time just flew by. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the tour. Never had a guide that enthusiastic and passionate about her job! And if you look for the perfect picture -ask her, she knows the right spot! Thank you Sintya!
