After pick up, drive to Pergamum Acropolis. Bergama, with its historical and cultural richness, is one of the most special cities of Turkey. In its three thousand year history. Bergama witnessed many civilizations and continues to share the traces and manuscipts of this background today. The altar of Zeus, Basilica as one of the seven churches of christianity and Asclepion is one of the first hospitals in history,

After arriving in the Pergamon, you will get the cable-car for Acropolis, It will take about 5 minutes. Then visit Pergamon Acropolis, a completely reinforced city with its social and commercial structures constructed on the land terraces between streets and squares. You will see the Atlar of Zeus, the Temple of Dionysus, the Temple of Demeter, the Great Library containing 200.000 bundles of books, the Theater, Gymnasium, Royal Palaces, the Temple of Trojan, Aqueducts, Fountains, Cisterns, and Arsenals are the most important structures constructed in Pergamum Acropolis.

Afterwards. drive for about 10 minutes to Pergamon Asclepion. Ancient historians said it's ”the place where Death is Forbidden to enter and Testaments are not opened.” It is the largest medical center of the period including the “serpentine column” which bacme the symbol of modern medicine and pharmacies and was named after Asclepios, the god of healing and medicine and remained a known thretament center until the 4th century, The findings reveal that surgical operations were also performed in Asclepion in addition to diets, hot and cold baths, and physical exercises as the three basic components. Futhermore, patients were treated in this center with medicines, herbs, music, mud and sun baths, and psychotherapy based on splashs, inspiration, and dream interpretation. Asclepion is accessed from the Sacred Way and is a 1 km long street.

Pergamum is also an important city for the carpet business. Pergamum carpets are among the most advanced crafts of the city and have an ethnographic value. Pergamum Carpets are grouped under 18 main headings and four regions according to the color, pattern, shape and weaving techniques used. These regions are as follows:

Yuntdagi Region/Pergamum Turkey (Derici, Yuncu, Sarikeci, Maldan, Gaylan)

Yagcibedir Region/ Pergamum Turkey (Kocaoba, Yagcibedir, Mazili,Caglan,Yenice,Samanlik,Islamlar,Kizilcukur)

Karadag Region/ Pergamum Turkey (Hardal, Kaan, Muslu, Cepni, Yagcibedir)

Today, the most known carpet among these four regions is Yagcibedir Carpet, also called Kiz(girl) Bergama.
