What people are saying about Istanbul

I saw the whirling dervishes on tv when I was young and when I decided to visit Istanbul I knew this was something I really wanted to do. The performance is set in a beautiful subterranean space aglow in soft blue lighting that also serves as a restaurant. Also, due to COVID, the restaurant is temporarily closed. The show itself is mesmerizing and I was amazed that the dancers could spin so fast and for so long while staying in one place. The music accompanying the dancer’s routine is quite beautiful. One thing I would have enjoyed is a bit of commentary before the performance on the history of the dervishes.

Istanbul: Live Whirling Dervishes Experience Reviewed by Ron, 11/23/2020

This was a special experience for me. I had no idea just how beautiful Istanbul really was until i saw it on the water. U can actually see Asia and Europe! I loved how the commentary spoke of the history as well; I learned a lot. The scenery was just amazing and the weather was perfect. I couldn’t ask for anything more. The manager of the tour was also the best. He assisted me with directions and allowed me to have the best possible experience. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Istanbul. It is a must!!

The show was good but got off to a slow start which initially did make me a little worried about my choice. It soon recovered though and my girfriend and I really enjoyed the event overall. Once going it is continuous and action packed

Turned out that we were the only ones to buy the tour that day and time. Guide was very clear and explained some interesting things about the city and Sophia in particular. Totally worth the money and time!
