Full description
Depart Inverness and travel South, hugging the shoreline of Loch Ness to Invermoriston. Stop for a short break at Loch Ness which is 24 miles long, over 700ft deep and is most famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness monster.

After Loch Ness, travel on to the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle which is situated on its own island at the head of Loch Duic and is one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. Take time here to explore the Castle and its atmospheric surroundings.

Continue your journey to the Isle of Skye, passing over the Skye Bridge and on to the small village of Portree for a lunchtime stop. Portree, although a small harbor village, is the capital of Skye, and is surrounded by rocky cliffs and rolling hills. Its beautiful surroundings make it a perfect stop to enjoy lunch and views of the boats. Moving on, see various points of interest in Skye including Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls, the Old Man of Storr and perhaps Strome Viewpoint. Continue homeward bound to Inverness, where your Isle of Skye day tour ends.

Amazing day tour from Inverness to Isle of Skye! The scenery is breath-taking, a must do for everyone. A special thanks Chris, our fantastic guide. He was exceptional all the way through, he provided detailed historic and cultural information for every place we visited. As we were a small group, he was so kind to take us to extra spots, we can't thank him enough.

Our guide Tonks, she was very nice. We had the tour on the day with Denis Storm, but nothing stopped Tonks to do the tour. We also had some extra stops and was amazing. The atmosphere in the bus was also nice, Scottish music and magical stories said by our guide. I highly recommend Timberbush Tours. Even if the weather was not nice and was all day raining and we had strong winds due to the storm, Tonks offered us an amazing tour, we even stopped to pet thw Highlanders cows.

We travelled with Marita and Chris! Besides many interesting stories about the places we visited they also had a great Spotify song playlist for the trip! They showed us some additional places that weren't even official stops of the booked tour, so that was very beautiful. Plus, I hurt my ankle at Eilean Castle (don't go to the rocks, I slipped there) and I needed to go to hospital. But Marita and Chris came to pick up me and my friend when we were finished, so we could participate on the rest of the tour! I didn't take it for granted, so that was really really nice.
