What people are saying about Imlil

We loved all parts of this day trip and the mountains were beautiful

The were punctual at pick up very close to the riad where we were staying. We were transported in a new 16 seater coach for only 8 of us. We had a wonderful guide who grew up in, and continues to live in, the Berber village we visited. His English was excellent and knowledge extensive. The camel ride was a lot of fun, the trek to the waterfall a very fun part of the day, and the lunch on a rooftop of a Berber home, delightful. Mind you, the home was a very nice Berber home of a well-off resident compared to many that we saw. The stop at the Argon oil store was typical of stops on tours around the world where you have 2-3 ladies grinding the nuts and many products they want you to buy. Fortunately, we didn't spend much time there but the building also had bathrooms so a good place to stop. We had a couple of breaks with tea and pastries. All ages and sizes did the walk to the waterfall and acclimated to the higher altitude. The guide provided all assistance necessary. GREAT.

Amazing experience condensed in a day trip

We had an amazing day trip with an attentive and helpful guide. Rachid - the guide - was telling a lot about the history and economics of the berber people. He was very kind and always cheerful even when we started to get tired. We visited an argan oil cooperative, went to a camel ride in a small valley, had a quick look on a berber market (only on Saturdays) and went hiking. In the mountains we visited a waterfall, had a nice walk in the forest and had a traditional three course lunch with an exceptional view in a guesthouse. Totally recommended

Fantastic day out - well organised and good value.

Younis picked us up at the stated time in a well maintained and spotless mini van. His driving all day felt very safe. Mustapha was our guide for the day. He was very knowledgeable about Berber and Morrocan history. His love and passion for his community made the trip special. The walk to the falls was at a gentle pace, stopping to take lots of photos. Lunch was an excellent 3 course meal nicely presented. The camel ride made a lovely end to a great day out. Communication before the trip was very prompt answering and confirming details.

Genuine guide, authentic experience with lots of anecdotes.

Mustafa was a excellent guide with an honest approach to tourism. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant and authentic experience, he never made us feel obliged to tip (unlike every other trip / activity we undertook in Marrakech) and felt very safe with him. The hike through the mountains was beautiful and showed us a different face of Morocco. The camel ride was ok but the staff there was unhelpful and camels felt poorly treated. This was out of the control of the guide for the rest of the trip though.

An interesting day trip outside of the bustle of Marrakech

As a family of 4 visiting Marrakech for the first time, we really enjoyed our day trip into the Atlas Mountains with our guide Mustafa. He was really informative, although I find his English a little difficult to understand at times. We visited his family in their house in a small village, and lunched on typical Moroccan cuisine of tasty chicken and vegetable Tagines at a small local restaurant.
