What people are saying about Imlil

Amazing excursión, great views and perfect organization

The excursion was really amazing. Se discovered nice views and different bereber villages. We also had the opportunity to see how argan oil is made in a cooperative. Our guide Ibrahim was great and helpful. He was taking us through nice paths, took us to have nice snaks and lovely lunch and explained everything perfectly! We really recommend this tour as a great experience

An amazing experience: beautiful area and fantastic guide.

This was an amazing tour for a very reasonable price. Ibrahim was charming and insightful, and was very accomodating when we had to modify our pick up/drop off address last minute. Ibrahim brought amazing energy to the tour and was very knowledgeable about the area. The Imlil valley trek makes for an amazing break away from the city and the trek, whilst steep in places, was not too difficult. If you are looking for a break from town, a camel ride, a trek in the Atlas Mountains, and lunch in a Berber village with stunning views, then this is a great option.

Enjoyable day away from Marrakech with a knowledgeable local guide

Do not take the tour for the camel ride - it's a 20 minutes touristic gimmick, though it is good fun. Beautiful sceneries & interesting chats with the guide, helping to understand the peoples & the history of Marrakech/Marocco.

Discover the warm welcoming side of Moroccans, with great views!

This experience was great and absolutely recommend it!! Hassan was very nice to walk all the way to our "hidden" riad just to pick us up and take us to his van. The ride was joyful with good stories along the way on Moroccans' lifestyle, Marrakesh and the Berber people. The Argan oil cooperative is a worthy stop for a small breakfast reinforcement. Upon arriving in Imlil, we meet a lovely guide (Rashid?) who clearly loves telling stories, about the Berber and Moroccan culture, and his life in the mountains. We hiked at a slow pace for some 3-4 hours, enjoying beautiful landscapes, joking and learning many curiosities about the region. After that we had a tasty typical Moroccan lunch, before we finally headed back to Marrakesh. Just before arriving, the driver tuned in some Portuguese songs to cheer us up from the tiresome walk and get ready for the camels! The camel ride is quite short, but a nice experience anyway. The trip was great with many stops for tea. Thanks for the great trip!

Amazing day - well organised and led - spectacular scenery

Mustafa our guide was superb. Even though our riad didn't have access via a car he still came to find us! He's very knowledgeable and told us lots about Moroccan life at every stop. Camel Ride isn't that great but the rest of the stops were well worth it.
