What people are saying about Imlil
Guide was superb, incredibly kind, knowledgeable and personable. Did so much in one day, really gave us a sense of Moroccan history, culture and way of life
The were punctual at pick up very close to the riad where we were staying. We were transported in a new 16 seater coach for only 8 of us. We had a wonderful guide who grew up in, and continues to live in, the Berber village we visited. His English was excellent and knowledge extensive. The camel ride was a lot of fun, the trek to the waterfall a very fun part of the day, and the lunch on a rooftop of a Berber home, delightful. Mind you, the home was a very nice Berber home of a well-off resident compared to many that we saw. The stop at the Argon oil store was typical of stops on tours around the world where you have 2-3 ladies grinding the nuts and many products they want you to buy. Fortunately, we didn't spend much time there but the building also had bathrooms so a good place to stop. We had a couple of breaks with tea and pastries. All ages and sizes did the walk to the waterfall and acclimated to the higher altitude. The guide provided all assistance necessary. GREAT.
Really great day - a guide who was passionate about the villages we visited sharing so much knowledge - so glad we took this tour - fantastic
I’m not a great fan of organised trips but this was the highlight of my holiday in Marrakech. It was a beautiful insight into life In The foothills of the Atlas Mountains interesting and energetic in equal measure. The main reason for this being the highlight was my two guides Hassan & Rachid. Hassan was prompt for pick up and helpful with details of what was going to happen especially as the the two other guests were French so he had to say everything twice. This never seemed to be a problem. A 5guide. Rachid was a joy and gave an amazing insight into his life within this community. He did this with humour and a simple honesty that made you feel almost a part of it! Every questions and fact was answered as if it was the first time he’d answered it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re lucky enough to have him as you’re guide you’re in for a wonderful experience, All food was amazing&included and you never felt like you were being herded into a selling opportunity THANK YOU RACHID & HASSAN
We really enjoyed our day out in the Atlas Mountains with Rachid, our guide. It was a great opportunity to see beyond the walls of the Medina and the souks! The journey up into the mountains was really interesting, with a stop at a women's cooperative to see how argan oil is made before walking between berber villages in the mountains. The lunch stop was very welcome - all 3 courses - which included a tasty chicken tajine. The cherry blossom was in full bloom, there was snow on the mountains, the people we met were charming. The day was rounded off by a half hour camel ride through a wooded valley. I would highly recommend this trip as the countryside is beautiful and it is such a contrast to the bustle of Marrakesh.
