Full description
Start this half-day hike of Hong Kong’s Dragon’s Back trail on the iconic and much loved Hong Kong tram, which commenced operations in 1904. Watch the commuters heading to work, as you rattle along what was once the waterfront. Then, complete your journey on the MTR (Mass Transit Railway). Take in the atmosphere of Shau Kei Wan wet market, and experience life of ordinary Hong Kongers as they go about their daily activities.

Commence your hike along a lovely cool path through shady groves of bamboo and lush woodland, accompanied by birdsong. Emerge into open hillsides, often covered with wild azaleas or rose myrtle. Reach the spectacular Shek O Country Park, and follow the rugged spinal ridge of Dragon's Back as it undulates through breathtaking views of the distant 9 Pins Islands, sandy Big Wave Bay, Tai Tam Harbour, Stanley, and Red Hill peninsula.

Stroll down through shaded tunnels of exotic vegetation, before you transfer back to central Hong Kong. Alternatively, you can continue to the nearby fishing village of Shek O to try some of the popular seafood restaurants or relax on the beach.

More than excellent

Due to the great rating we asked for a tour with Claudia. It also worked extremely well. We were a small group of 4 people and Claudia offered us all an unforgettable day. Again and again only: Claudia. She was so enthusiastic that they immediately booked another HK tour with this organization. Will always recommend it. THANKS Cöaudi

Fun and quick but confusing at the end

Great tour guide and enjoyable hike. Views were great and while not necessarily a challenging hike-it was fun with exceptional photo opportunities. Only deterant was the end of the tour is very open ended. The guide will give you directions on where you go but leaves you at the end of the trail as opposed to where you met. We chose to not go to lunch in town because we were fearful of missing a later engagement by getting lost. The guide was most helpful and brought us to where we needed to go, just be aware that if you chose to go into the small village for a bite to eat your on your own getting back to town. Probably very easy as most the public transportation here is-just good to know info.
