Full description
Eat like a local on this fun and educational food tour. You will meet at the statue of Jose Marti in Parque Central, before crossing from the Capitol Building for a pillowy fried dough snack called Cangrejitos. You will then make your way through the lively Obispo Street, a pedestrian street bustling with locals and tourists alike.

Here there are several hole-in-the-wall street food sellers where locals grab a quick bite during their work or school day. Popular street foods in Cuba are typically either sugary, fried, or both. Croquettes, fritters, pizza, ice-cream, and churros are some of the foods that Cubans are known to grab for a quick snack. You'll sample several of these snacks while enjoying the live music that spills from the adjoining bars and restaurants, or the spectacle of street performers common in this area.

Meanwhile, your local guide will point out historical sites, and tell you about Cuba's unique economy and food culture. You'll learn how to identify the difference between the Convertible Peso (CUC) and the Cuban Peso, also known as Moneda Nacional (CUP or MN). The tour will end in the picturesque Plaza Vieja, the Old Square, where you will get to try a creamy and delicious coconut milk ice-cream, surrounded by bright pastel colonial architecture.
