If you only have a day, this is a good option. Van is a squeeze!

This tour was one of the cheaper ones to book but covered everything we wanted/needed without any additional costs. Pros: Hotel pick up and drop off. Got to see the caves, eat lunch (they cater for vegetarians), go kayaking or bamboo boating, good & knowledgable guide (Victor) with good English, good amount of time in bay if you haven’t seen limestone karsts before. Con: The van was a real squeeze, especially if you’re stuck at the back. There is pretty much no leg room and nothing fancy there, just a seat. Our driver was also not great (he got us safely there and back) as he seemed to be in too high a gear throughout the journey, making the van judder loudly constantly. He also seemed to use the throttle as of it were an on/off switch causing the van to serve back and forth. Pretty sure I had motion sickness from the driving after the day had finished (I never get sick from a boat). The journey felt long and some you’re the new express way but you get what you pay for I guess!

Incredible service, flexible schedule, breathless location

We originally booked the 3-day/2-night cruise but unfortunately, because there was a huge typhoon the first day, the cruise had to cancel. Fortunately, we did make it for a 2-day/1-night cruise which was still perfect. The entire experience was amazing - breathless views, great activities, and really amazing service. However, I think what I want to emphasize in this review is how great the company handled the cancellation. We still wanted to stay around Ha Long City the day of our cruise because we saw no point staying in Ha Noi when we had to do the 2-hour drive anyways. They were accommodating and dropped us right in front of the last-minute AirBNB we booked. Everything was just really awesome. Also, for what it's worth, there are a lot of cruises offering similar, but taking part in the higher starred-rated cruises is worth it - less people, more freedom, and just all around better service.

Great trip for the price. Recommending it if you have one full day.

The trip was excellent. The ride in the river for almost 1.5 hours was amazing. It was really a talent to see most of the women paddling the boat by their feet. It was hot and very humid. Little bit disappointed where our bus driver took 15 minutes break on way back leaving all the passengers without air conditioner running in bus. No one wanted to take a break except the bus driver. Food was great at Long’s restaurant in Tam Coc. Great vegetarian and vegan options too.

Excellent and very well organized trip. We went on September 6.

This trip was very well planned and organized. Our guide ‘Man’ was very nice and helpful. Hotel pick and drop off in old quarter. Food was OK on the boat, nothing out of ordinary. The mini boat rides were well arranged in the Halong bay. It is a MUST See in Vietnam tour. Just amazing. Remember, it will get really hot and humid. There in no air conditioner anywhere except on the use. But still worth it. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic way to experience great food .

Our host, Jenny, guided our small group walking through the streets of Hanoi old quarter to venues that we would never find on our own. Each dish was representative of the specific venue and their specialism. The evening culminated in a short cyclo tour around the local streets to experience the night life of the area, finishing in the area around lake Hoan Kiem. Agreat experience to be recommended.
