Full description
Experience first-hand Vietnam’s prestigious blacksmithing tradition during this knife-making class. Nestled in Kien Hung Commune, Ha Dong Town, Hanoi, Da Sy has enjoyed a long-standing history of blacksmiths dating back hundreds of years.

Meet Mr. Sinh and his family of blacksmiths, who are members of a lineage of blacksmiths who forge their wares using traditional techniques. Learn about the complicated process of forging: how to make rough drafts, keep fires burning, hammer the red-hot iron, temper the metal with water, and finally, how to sharpen the final product. By the end of this class, you’ll have designed and created your very own blade to take home.
