What people are saying about Hangzhou
our guide was very knowledgeable, lots of insights on China itself. A great tour to get a feeling of Hangzhou and want you to go back to spend 2 days and a night there to include some hiking in the mountains. Our guide stayed out of the busy tourist attractions, going to the actual farmers restaurant, with only chinese eating there for a total of 30 Euros for 4 persons, very fresh food! then to the tea plantations we went to a small farm, no other tourists than ourselves. Then for the temple, he chose one no tourists go to. we were the only ones, was very interesting and we felt very lucky. Driver and car and train were excellent, a great way to visit Hangzhou with no stress and worries.
Early start to get train tickets, great ride on rapid train. Hired car in Hangzhou took us to several sights with Annie our guide providing informative commentary. A highlight was the Tian Zhu Temple where Annie told us about Buddhist beliefs then encouraged us to have vegetarian lunch in the complex. After some free time in the shopping street we finished the afternoon at the West Lake until time to return to Shanghai. On arrival we got instructions to the Bund and finally to our hotel by the subway system.
