A whirlwind of excitement and dangers, thrill seekers only

What an amazing experience!! We were not expecting this! Such good value for money. The canyon was beautiful and our guide was extremely helpful/ lovely. We are two young girls who are physically fit but there were some elements of this trek that were very hard and would advise only physically able/ strong people to do this trip. Some of the rock edges were very narrow and slippery... would be good if you were an experienced rock climber! Our guide was helpful; however he had 4 people to help cross the rocks so sometimes we were left to do our own footing which was scary at times! My friend fell on the slippery rocks, she was ok, the guide helped but if you have a serious fall, there is no way out other than the climb back, however, our guide was attentive and gave my friend antiseptic cream for her cut. It’s a must do for people with the energy! we did thoroughly enjoyed it, just be prepared and wear sea shoes... we were bare feet and the stones hurt! Enjoy

The Hidden Canyon was one of the best experiences I have ever had.

The Hidden Canyon was great, but in hindsight, I am glad we did not have any small children with us. I was wonderful to be in an uncrowded part of Bali and to challenge yourself to traversing the canyon in the water. It would have been good to bring reef shoes and a surfing outfit, but it was not clear to me from the description that we would be climbing, walking and swimming in the river for about 2 hours. The guide was great, he took really good care of us, and made sure we were safe, even though it really was dangerous, especially balancing across the top of the waterfall over slippery stones at the very end (a rope may help...). The waterfall as the next stop was a complete shock with the masses of tourists, and we did not enjoy that. Lunch was very good and peaceful near the rice terraces. The 2 temples at the end were beautiful and not at all overrun, located in spectacular locations. Overall a very enjoyable day (and very sore the next day).

Great tour which allows you to discover Ubud and Bali in short time

This tour is perfect if you don't stay long in Ubud. You can discover the main attractions of the regions : the Tegenungang Waterfall, the Tegalalang rice terrace, the Monkey Forest, a few temples, craft work of wood, silver, painting, sarong (perfect for gifts), and a wonderful lunch in front of the Volcano with a self-serve buffet (amazing experience). Our driver, Anta, was amazingly funny and nice, and he gave us many explanations. He adapted the tour at our convenience, and didnt hesitate to make it last longer than scheduled. I would recommend you to ask for Anta as a driver/guide. I am a French Student studying in Singapore, so this tour was perfect to discover Bali and the price is okay.

Great tour, saw so much. Friendly and helpful guide!

The tour was fantastic, a very good way to see Ubud and the more traditional side of Bali that you don’t get to see so much in Seminyak etc. My driver Putu was very friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions about Balinese culture (and I had a lot!). As a solo female traveller I felt very safe with him and he was great company too with a good sense of humour (which is important when you’re spending 9 hours with someone!). I loved all of the tour but my favourite parts were definitely the monkey forest, the volcano and the coffee plantation. I’d definitely recommend this tour and Putu to anyone interested in exploring Ubud!

Mind blowing sights & inspirational, knowledgable guide

Erick from start to finish was an exceptional host and guide. His Balinese knowledge of all the sights covered was phenomenal & I learnt so much about the traditions and Balinese culture throughout the day. He went that extra mile to personalise the tour as I was on my own. I felt comfortable and at ease. His passion for Bali shone through and made me fall in love with this beautiful, humble, historical country for the first time and it certainly won’t be the last time. Thank you Erick. All the temples covered were magnificent and I felt satisfied with all the sights I saw. Thank you Erick- Balinese legend and guru.
