What people are saying about Gullfoss Waterfall

Fantastic trip and Trond was a terrific guide.

This was a beautiful trip. Fabulous sights and an incredibly entertaining and well-informed guide/driver. Only problem I personally had was a lack of gluten-free food for purchase. When I tried to eat some g-f bread and cheese I brought with me in a cafeteria on the trip (the only food stop), the manager tried to throw me out (it was 40 degrees out) because I didn't buy it there. Few in Iceland know much about celiac disease. When I explained, the mgr told me I could buy their soup!! (I'd checked; - thickened w flour! They sold yogurt parfait topped w granola - I was unwilling to roll the dice on it). He finally told me they would "make an exception" after I explained that eating their food would put me in a hospital. Not the tour's fault - but if you're celiac, you need to plan to bring your own food, expect a hassle, or go 8 hours on a bag of potato chips and an apple.

Horse riding was fantastic, but Golden Circle was to 'Express'

The horse riding was the highlight of the tour, great place, horses, experienced staff, great ride. The Golden Circle Express however was not very enjoyable. The problem is with the 'Express'. All visits were too short especially the stop at Thingfellir where we had only 35 minutes to explore that vast area. Barely had time to visit the bathroom and no time to stop at refreshments/souvenir shop. Geyser and Gullfoss both had 50 to 55 minutes, but still felt too short. I didn't have time to finish my second bowl of the delicious meat soup at Gullfoss and had to abandon it to make to the bus on time.

Absolutely superb all day trip, just do it!

Nice Travel - David the guide. Best out of all the trips we did on our Reykjavík long weekend - superb quality mini bus, great narration from David with humour too. Well informed and nice personality, made us all feel very welcome. Sights were good and we weren’t rushed along, that’s the benefit of a small group tour. Of all the typical trips we did over our 3 day visit, this was the best and having travelled with 4 other tour operators, was also the most professional and smart.

Super tour, very fun guide, cool and relaxed experience!

We saw many things on this tour, like the geysir, a vulcanic crater and the national park pingvellir - it was just amazing to see these nature wonders! First stop was supposed to be an geothermal power station, but we couldnt get in, because a few days ago they had a fire there. but our guide didnt even know about that. But nevertheless the tour was amazing!

A super organized day with great attractions.

It was a really interesting day. Our guide Baldur, a passionate Icelander, providing us with all possible and impossible information. No question remained unanswered. For the tour speaks: professional preparation and implementation, time to visit places and a committed, humorous guide. Thank you Baldur!
