Following breakfast, you'll meet your guide in the hall of the hotel and depart for a private food and movie tour. Matera is considered one of the most evocative places in Southern Italy, being a UNESCO site and the European Capital of Culture in 2019. During the itinerary you'll see the places where the film scenes were set, such as "The Passion" by Mel Gibson, "Ben Hur" by Timur Bekmabetov, "Wonder Woman" by Petty Jenkins, and most recently "007: No Time to Die" by Cari Fukunaga.
You will be fascinated to discover the existence of houses and churches carved into the rock, where some inhabitants lived until the first half of the 20th century. You'll visit the Cathedral before tasting local food, meeting producers and artisans along the way. In the afternoon you'll visit the Murgia Materana Park, which is characterized by caves and Mediterranean vegetation. That evening you will have free time to spend at your leisure.

Following this visit, stop in to a local dairy shop to taste the typical "Pallone di Gravina", a spun cheese with a spherical shape. In the afternoon you will depart for Altamura, visiting the beautiful cathedral which is the only one built by the medieval King Frederick II of Swabia.
