Easy way to see Venice in a day from Rome

This excursion is a pre-packaged day trip from Rome to Venice and back. For our schedule it was a great idea and was delivered exactly as advertised. Get on the train early, see Venice for about 5-6 hours, then return late in the evening. The only down side to this trip was the shear number of people they allow on the trip(40+) while overwhelming the assistant they provide. We had Antonella and she was wonderful. She provided a great deal of personalized assistance considering the amount of people she had to deal with. Several times we felt horrible for her when people did not meet when supposed too and/or not at all. Though I would recommend this trip for what it is, it does provide exactly what is advertised. I would HIGHLY recommend the company either limit the amount of people allowed on the tour, or break such a large group into smaller ones and provide an additional assistant. Antonella, Thank you for a wonderful trip !!

This was the #1 highlight of our trip to Italy!

This was fantastic and totally worth the money! My husband and I traveled to Rome, Florence and Venice in July 2018. We were on a budget and didn't want to bust the budget, so went with the "shared" gondola option and then splurged to have the serenade option. The experience was unforgettable and easily the best part of our whole trip! The singer and the man with the accordion had great chemistry and were constantly interacting w/ my husband and I. I thought the 20 mins sounded kinda short, but it ended up being the perfect amount of time. Do it at sunset around 7:30 if possible. Highly recommend this to all my family members and friends, it was simply enchanting and something my husband and I will never forget!

Never been in a gondola and it was good for a first time

As the tour stated, it is not a guided tour. I would reccomend going in April or during cooler months. Even in April the smell of sewage water was rather strong in some areas, not all areas. The gondola conductor was quite the expert to manuever around, never any danger of tipping. The name of the Tour Agency is not on the building where you get your ticket, but if you get to the area, look for the building number above the door. Plus, you can ask people along the way, even policemen, in English, and they are helpful to guide you to that plaza.

Perfect pace, lovely boats and serenading was delicious!

Activity was exactly as described - shared a boat with 4 others but sat with my friend, we headed out on the lagoon with other boats and then into the quieter canals where acoustics were great. The accordion player and singer were first rate and although on another gondola (as expected) we were never far from them and the sound through the narrow canals was magic!

Amazing, unique, and authentic experience!

The performance (I saw Travaiata) was amazing, slightly interactive, and the music and acting was great. They offered us a glass of Prosecco in the first break. Thank you very much, I will come back to see other performances !
