Tickets were not available for the Alhambra by itself, so we had to get in via a tour group, and even that also required booking an additional tour of Granada via a Segway/EBike. It was more than I really wanted to pay, but didn't feel I had any other option. That said, we're had a great day. The Alhambra experience was much more worthwhile with the expertise of a guide and Fernando did a wonderful job. We had headsets which made it much easier to hear and thus was much more informative, entertaining, and well paced. Afterwards came the Segway tour of the town of Granada. Our guide Fabricio was very enthusiastic, entertaining, and knowledgeable. It all combined to make for a great, one-of-a-kind day, that I am glad that I "splurged" for.
My brother and I signed up for this e-bike tour because we had a free day after touring Granada. At first, unsure of how the experience would be, the fears and questions were quickly dispelled by Maria, Maria, and Jose! We had a lot of fun biking from atop the mountain all the way into the streets of Granada. I would highly recommend booking a tour with these folks; they're super knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and have the best recommendations for what to do and where to eat in the city. If I visit Granada again, I would definitely schedule another tour with them!
The tour started with Francisco a great informative guide of the Alhambra, I would recommend that you request him if he is available, his English is great and kept the group on task to see this impressive iconic palace and gardens and he gave us good recommendations for lunch. We then proceeded to do the Segway tour (our third) we love this form of transport especially on old world pavements. Again our guides where great Fabricio led the way and was fun and informitive, again ask for him. We had a tremendous day because of both these hard working guides!
I've done quite a few city bike tours, and have found them to be a good way of getting to know places. This one was no exception. Our guide (Beatrice) was very knowledgeable about the city and its religious history (complicated to say the least). It was fun to spend an afternoon in her company whilst pedalling the cobbled streets of this pretty amazing place
The guide was very well versed in the history of Granada. She spoke very good english and had a lot of neat little facts to share. We got to experience locations in Granada that we were not aware of from guidebooks, and the electric bikes made it easy to get around the city.
