What people are saying about Granada
The worst part- the local company and this website have totally different pick up locations. Be very careful to go to the right place. Really enjoyed the tour of Al-Hambra. Gustavo was an amazing tour guide. He was humorous and engaging and I really enjoyed learning from him. Our tour guide on the way up/ for Albaycin was okay. Her English was a little hard to understand at times, but she was kind and sweet. I wish we hadn't booked the Albaycin. We saw cool stuff, but would have enjoyed some solo exploration more. Albaycin was fine, but not worth the money or the inability to do touring alone. Another thing, we got some free time to rest during our al-Hambra tour but the free time took place in outside of Al-Hambra. I wish we had some free time to explore al-Hambra. I wanted to see some things for longer, but that opportunity never arose. A don't regret doing this day trip at all and would recommend, but wish I could make some minor tweaks.
This was one of the best things we did in Granada. Very efficient service. We originally booked for another day and time but we’re offered another slot by text and had the tour to ourselves (our family of six people). Our guide, Ernest, was lovely - kind and supportive of my husband who has reduced mobility, informative, fun and good to spend time with. We had a great time, watched the sun set on the way down, and would highly recommend this trip.
Driver/guide Mike was quite knowledgeable of the local ecology and history. The trip goes up and down over some steep grades, with beautiful views of the area and villages. There was still snow on the mountaintops on May-31st.
Well worth the visit, including the long drive. Spain is making efforts at better mobility access, but there are financial, architectural, and historic constraints. Staff is very courteous, even with security concerns.
The best way to discover the Sierra Nevada when you don't have the time to trek . Miguel our guide was very nice and knows perfectly the sites and is able to answer any of our questions. Thank you Miguel.
