Full description
A walk around the Alhambra Palace, declared a World Heritage by UNESCO, is a required activity for any visitor in the city of Granada. Furthermore it’s a work of art that calls out to us with its attractive and elaborate rooms, its monumental and historic position, and the special charm of its exquisitely detailed Islamic art and architecture.

Transform this visit into an extraordinary experience, rich with knowledge and history. On this 3-hour tour of Alhambra, you will have one of the official tourist guides at your disposal. These expert interpreters of Granada’s heritage will guide you through every part that forms the “Red Fortress". They will also answer any additional questions that you may have about this spectacular monument.

You will explore the Alcazaba fortress, formerly a military precinct and the most antique area of the Alhambra complex. You will also visit the Nasrid Palaces including the Palace of Mexuar, the Palace of Comares, and the Palace of Leones. Finally you will explore the Generalife, the sultan’s summer palace situated east of the Alhambra and surrounded by wide gardens filled with a great variety of vegetation, framed by a beautiful Islamic landscape.

Alberto was an excellent guide. He provided appropriate level of detail to give enough historical context to keep the tour interesting and engaging. He was knowledgeable, very pleasant and polite. One important thing to keep in mind is to check your email or WhatsApp messages from the tour company a day or two before the actual tour to confirm the exact start time. It seems that the Alhambra management can change start times to manage the number of people inside the monument. If you miss the start time it will probably be very difficult to find another time to visit as all entry tickets are sold well in advance. You don’t want to miss the visit to the Nasrid Palace. We almost missed it, but were lucky enough to catch it just at the last minute. Granada, especially Alhambra, is once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend it.

Great experience and you certainly need a guide to help you get the most out of your visit. It is one of the most impressive sites I've ever visited and Felipe, our guide was great. We had enough information to feel informed but not too much detail to overwhelm. He was also open for further questions if anyone wanted to know more, thank you Felipe for helping to make our visit very memorable.

Our guide was awesome! We were there in Granada during Columbus Day weekend, which is a huge weekend in Spain, and yet we still managed to be the only ones in our group, so we had a very personal experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fielded our questions very well!
