Savviest travel decision ever!

We booked our tickets for the Alhambra (includes Palace Nasrid and Generalife) in advance and online for the earliest time slot available (8:30am) which was the smartest decision ever. We had a brief period of time to tour the magnificent Moorish architecture of the Palace Nasrid before the hordes of tour groups descended. We traveled to Granada primarily to visit the Alhambra (where we spent 7 hours exploring) and it was well worth it!

Awesome Splendour

Every part of the Alhambra is stunning and genuinely transfers you back to the Moorish and Catolicos times. You definitely need 5 hours to do it justice but taking your own picnic and/or splitting your day into a couple of visits makes it more manageable. If you go in the colder months make sure you have warm clothing.... it is exceptionally cold in the palaces.... after all they were designed to provide relief from the heat! We're going to return to Granada and we will definitely re-visit the Alhambra.
