Absolutely fantastic experience I will never forget!

Our guide, Gregor, was just the best! He provided almost constant entertainment during the drives from stop to stop - from historical tid bits to relevant music to jokes - it was so much cooler and more exciting than I'd expected. I highly recommend this tour and if you get Gregor, you scored big! Each stop was incredible, the lochs of Scotland are breathtaking and inspiring. Staying the night in Inverness was wonderful - a nice smaller town and a welcomed change of pace from the hustle and bustle of London where we were the previous week. Plus Inverness is gorgeous. We stayed close to Ness Bank and the river at night and in the morning was so calm and peaceful. I will miss that place and can't wait to go back! And the food was amazing too! We ate at Johnny Foxes and the haggis stuffed chicken was one of the best things I'd eaten the entire vacation. Gregor also recited Robert Burns' Address to a Haggis on the way back to Edinburgh which was pretty cool!

Breathtaking scenery, amazing - Yvonne made it special

We have never visited Scotland before and we opted to join a tour as it would take away the planning, the driving and the stress involved in the logistics. We were drawn to this tour as it visited the Isle of Skye had a good itinerary and we wanted to travel the steam train. We were certainly not disappointed. From the minute we arrived at the check in for the adventure, the staff were friendly and organised. We had Yvonne for our trip, and she immediately impressed me. To be frank, she made the trip... given she was running the driving, the tour guide and planning etc. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable about the local history and with a fantastic personality that drew everyone on the tour into what become a friends day out. We would have no qualm in booking again and are already looking at tours further afield and will certainly be asking for Yvonne by name. Cannot recommend highly enough.

loved the history told by our guide Steven B, beautiful photo stops.

I would have loved to stay longer at the little stop off places. It was a good way to see many places. We know some areas we would definitely spend more time when we return to Scotland. Train ride was on Day 2. At the town of Mallaig we had a couple of hours to wander. Got some really great fish and chips at the Tea Room, and loved the art gallery on the main road right by the train station. Plan to use the toilet for free on the train or pay for toilet use at any of the stops along the way. Also, it wasn't clear in the description if meals were included, they are NOT. They do give you plenty of stops to grab a snack, but the only food provided was a really good hot breakfast at the bed and breakfast in Fort Augustus. We also had the option to find a restaurant in Fort Augustus, that would have been the only leisurely meal. If we did this again, we would bring our own snacks.

Very nice tur with a very funny guide, Brandon!

The tour was very interesting in terms of history and local facts. The nature was great. Brandon was the best guide I ever had, singing telling funny storys, joking. I very much liked that. He gave good information on ever stoppe. I had some challenges understanding all he said, as I'm Norwegian. I would however not hezitate to highly recommend our guide to other Norwegians. The Potter part of the trip was also interesting allthough I'm not the biggest fan. However my two kids are. If I should mention anything slightly negative, the information from Get your guide upfront maybe could have been better. The two youngest perhaps did expect a larger part of the tour to be on the train, and a smaller part on the bus. For me as a parent I had no problem with this, as the bus was quite comfortable.

Magnificent experience in Highland and Skye isle!!!

It was one of autstanding and magnificent experiences to travel through Highlands and isle of Skye! It was beyond expectation and also beyond description! All the way and every spot we stopped have fantastic nature. It is very unique, only encounter in Scotland esp. in Highland. The travel course is good! Safe and comfy bus! Moreover I was lucky to have wonderful driver! He was inherently happy and joyful person, enjoyed his job, so very nice and cheerful to all of us! He made us laugh, feel delightful and comfy during the whole journey! Thanks for that!
