What people are saying about Geneva
The tour was absolutely fantastic. The bus ride was smooth, and our tour guide, Maggie, was direct and to the point with very clear directions. Our first stop to the chocolate factory was much more than we expected... My wife and I were stuffed from all the samples... the next stop to the Gruyère factory was very intriguing, and packed full of information. The restaurant they took us to for a fondue/food tasting was intimate. The medieval town of Gruyères is a definite must-see. You feel like you’re still in the 1500s. Overall, this has been one of the best experiences we’ve had.
Check the weather forecast before booking - on a sunny day the view of the surrounding mountains around Aiguille du Midi (incl. Mont Blanc) will be magnificent and unforgettable. With an extra hour time in Chamonix (departure at 6 p.m.) it would be also possible to take a cable a car to Bregant (actually this option was included in the received ticket).
Our guide was awesome! Cheerful, helpful, supportive, and easy to talk to. He made the journey very pleasant. We got lucky with amazing weather but it would have been spectacular anyways! Our guide was super organized and also gave us a good amount of free time while also being clear about meeting points etc. Would love to go again!
Quick stop in Lausanne just enough to make pictures of Olimpic Commitee... Than great experience in Col de Pillon glacier at 3000m height (highly recommend Refuge l'espace there). On the way back stop in Montreux famous for its music history (Freddy Mercury statue and Casino studio) and just coincided Christmas market...
An amazing trip, with some of the best sights and experiences. Watch out for the weather though... we couldn’t go up the top cable car though so basically missed everything that we actually wanted to do at the top of the mountain!
