Full description
Learn the facts and legends of the historic city of Gdańsk on a private walking tour of the highlights and main attractions. Marvel at the former gates of the Old Town, including the Upland Gate at the start of the Royal Way. Hear how this route was previously only accessible to the powerful monarchs.

During the tour you will have an opportunity to get to know something more than just history of Gdansk. You will hear about the Scandinavian influence on Poland -  of course relations were not always good.

For example, despite the turbulent Polish-Swedish history from four hundred years ago, today's relations between the two countries can be boldly regarded as very good. Sweden was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the Republic of Poland after Poland regained its independence in 1918. At the time when Solidarity was fighting for Poland's freedom, the Swedish authorities and society consistently supported these efforts.  However, we cannot forget about relations with Norway. Contacts between Poland and Norway have over 1,000 years of tradition, dating back to the beginnings of statehood and Christianity in the 10th century.
