Full description
Experience Nuremberg, a city rich with wonders of cultural and historical significance. For centuries it was the preferred residence of German kings, and the undeclared capital of the Holy Roman Empire. You will then visit the 12th-century Imperial Castle built on a sandstone rock, offering great views over the roofs of the city.

You will then descend the hill to the old town, where you can view the half-timbered house where the famous painter Albrecht Dürer once lived, now a museum dedicated to his masterpieces. While in Nuremberg, you will
hear about the dark days of the Nazi-era, and how the military tribunals held after World War II brought some prominent members of the establishment to justice.

Your next stop will be Rothenburg, an enchanting Medieval city along the famous Romantic Road, an area possessing quintessentially German scenery. You can see the sights with a local guide, and stroll the web of streets lined by colorful higgledy-piggledy houses, a truly alluring place to discover before your return to modern Frankfurt.
