What people are saying about Frankfurt
The guide was funny and kept us informed and yet allowed for quiet time as well. I would have loved more time of the boat sailing along the Rhine river and not the shopping time at the end of the day. But I loved the day out in the sunshine and I would definitely recommend this trip for those wanting to get out of busy Frankfurt and along the famous and beautiful Rhine River.
The only negative I have is that there was no much more than a few drops of 4 wines that we actually were given to taste which was not enough to get a good taste of the wine and flavors, which was disappointing being a wine tasting tour. The trip itself was put together well, we had a few stops and a fun tour guide/driver. Beautiful views of the river/valley.
It's a long day but worth it. Travel by bus for 100mins along the Rhine and then board the cruise for lovely views and scenery ... it was all over fast but we got 1 hour 35 mins on board. The meal was in a traditional rhine Valley restaurant and wine tasting was fun. Got bsck to frankfurt at 10.10pm but glad I did it.
I would have liked the wine tasting to go for longer and to learn more about the local wine. Bigger tasting would be good too. The rest of the day including river cruise and lunch were excellent
It was a wonderful day. Our guide moved seemlessly between languages. She was considerate and knowledgeable. The driver was steady and professional. The scenery speaks for itself. I'd go again.
