Make sure to be at the Porta della Mandorla at the time indicated on your ticket. Climb all the way up to the cupola, and admire the extraordinary frescoes of the dome. Remember to stop by the Opera del Duomo Museum, to see extraordinary artwork by Donatello, Michelangelo, Luca della Robbia, Antonio Pollaiolo, Verrocchio, and Lorenzo Ghiberti, to name just a few.
Explore the Santa Reparata crypt, which is a small basilica over which the Florence Cathedral was constructed. The designer of the cupola of the Cathedral, Filippo Brunelleschi, is buried here. Visit the Baptistery of San Giovanni, one of the oldest buildings in the city. See a splendid mosaic ceiling and its famous doors, known as the Gates of Paradise. Then head to Giotto's Belltower, where you can climb up to the great heights of the Campanile, to get another spectacular view of the city.
The entrance to the Cathedral itself is free and you need to queue to enter. Once you are inside this beautiful Cathedral, one of the biggest churches in Europe, admire its vaulted ceilings, beautiful stained-glass windows, marble floors, and precious frescos.

· Make sure to line up in front of the Porta della Mandorla 15 mins in advance to your assigned timeslot. · Please check the reserved entrance time on your ticket, as it might be slightly different from the time you selected on GetYourGuide. · Porta della Mandorla is located on the long side of the Cathedral facing north, in front of Arnold Cafè. · The barcode on your voucher has to be presented by the turnstiles at the entrance as well as the entrances of the other sites.

• Please note that the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo will be closed from November 4 to 22, 2019
• The Cathedral has a strict dress code. Please wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees, otherwise, you may be refused entry
• Please wear comfortable shoes as there are 463 steps leading up to the cupola, and there is no elevator
• As the climb up to the cupola is very steep and narrow, it is not recommended for people suffering from vertigo, claustrophobia, or heart problems
• Backpacks or large bags are not allowed in the Cathedral complex
• The ticket grants one access for each monument included
