What people are saying about Faro
Miguel has been an excellent guide, very knowledgeable with various kinds of birds. He even made an effort to stop at certain spots to show us the birds. He explained well and he is also serious yet funny. Deserta Island is a must see where the Atlantic Ocean meet the sea. Simply magnificent. Farol Island with the lighthouse and beautiful beach is also not to be missed. Best part of all is the lunch at Culantra, the fishermen village. Miguel recommended Jarchino. Seafood there is really really very fresh and delicious and very affordable. We had the best fish pasta. Miguel even helped up to take orders as the restaurant was busy during lunch time. We saw for ourselves live sea cucumber which was really unexpected. This Ria Formosa trip is a must when you visit Faro.
We saw a big pod of dolphins for 20 minutes jumping and feeding - we were the lucky ones as a number of times they are not around to watch. The caves were magnificent and our tour company and guides were fantastic. Easily one of the best money adventures I have had in Portugal.
The experience for this tour has been excellent! The tour is beautiful to discover Ría Formosa and the beaches of Faro and the trip is very nice. Ricardo, our local guide was fantastic and very kind. I would repeat for sure! :)
Fantastic trip with great staff! We were a family of 4. 1 hour prior to depart, they called us to check if we needed anything. Our guide, Filipe, who was a local resident gave us many details about the region. It
It was a great experience. We saw tons of dolphins as promised. The guides were knowledgeable and funny. The weather was fine too.
