Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship emigration experience a MUST!

We absolutely loved this authentic tour - the reproduction of the real ship down to the smallest detail was amazing and our guide gave a riveting accounting of what life was like for the emigrants on the ship. Lifelike mannequins, cooking utensils, books, etc. added to the experience. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in understanding more about the wave of departures of Irish to US, Canada and Australia following the Great Hunger (Potato Famine) in mid 1800's.

Excellent way to see the city of Dublin!

Very happy with our experience on the DoDublin's Hop-on Hop-off bus. We enjoyed having access to the many sites we wanted to see in the city, and although we had to wait for a half an hour or more for a bus to arrive at Heuston Station, that was the only time we had a long wait. Every other situation was quick. We enjoyed the tour information as well ... much was discussed about parts of Dublin on the tour that we were unfamiliar with, and liked learning about.

Entertaining and a great way to see the city!

The tour was good value as you could hop on and off as many times as you wanted in the day. The drivers were informative, although some of them were more entertaining than others. I recommend the tour, however if I was doing it again, I would book the tickets at the places in the city as it is cheaper than through this website!

We were on 2 different buses with 2 different experiences.

The 1st bus: the 4 speakers above our heads did not work (!) so we couldn't hear the bus driver/tour guide very well, On the 2nd bus, the speakers were loud & clear, the tour guide not only told us good stories but sang several Irish songs related to the area he was pointing out, which enriched the stories and was good craic.

Tour of a fascinating and surprising story with a great guide.

Alexander shows a little known part of Dublin, with a great command of Jewish life in Ireland from the middle ages till today, especially the story of the Lithuanians. But you also get the Ulysses connection, a murder mystery and a place for great pastry.
