What people are saying about Evora

A perfect way to experience almost EVERYTHING in one trip!

My fiancée and I very much enjoyed this trip as we were not only able to visit Evora and a fabulous vineyard, but also learned so much about the country of Portugal and its history on our ride up with Carlos! The tour started from the moment we stepped in the vehicle as we learned about all of the sights along the way. He was so informative and very charismatic. His passion for this country is so beautiful and I was moved to tears by his explanations standing in the cathedral. It was so humbling to me. We left in the morning as strangers for a city that I knew so little about, and returned to our hotel feeling like family in a country we have grown to love so quickly. We highly recommend Carlos from Celina Tours! And we will be back for sure!

Guide Eduardo was extremely knowledgeable, courteous & professional!!

Guide Eduardo was terrific. Ruins of Evola were fascinating and well worth the trip. The cathedral had a wonderful view of the city from the roof. The Franciscan Church was a nice surprise and a highlight of the buildings from the tour. We also enjoyed a nice Portuguese lunch and the wine tour and tasting. We learned a lot about Portuguese wine and olive oil. We were surprised to learn that there are different olive oils with different properties and tastes- even extra virgin olive oil!

Rushed, but great to experience more of Portugal.

Evora is a difficult place to get to by public transport from Lisbon so this tour was a great way to it. Evora is a small town with lots to see. I didn't go on the lunch and was glad because I got to spend the time exploring the town centre. The wine tasting was very rushed and it was in a local shop, not very atmospheric. Overall, it felt a bit rushed in the monuments but was a great way to experience more of Portugal.

Packed day full of variety and lead by really informative Guides.

We knew roughly what we would be seeing in Evora but the day proved even more interesting. So many different historical time scales. The Megaliths/Dolmen/Stone Circles. Roman, Medieval etc. Guides very easy to get on with and well informed. A great day, very relaxed , even although the weather wasn't great. If we had more time we would do another tour. Would certainly recommend this to our friends. Many thanks.

Excellent. Luis was very caring n knowledgeable

Our guide Luis was the best. He was so knowledgeable about the places as well as the history of Portugal. Though it was crowded he took us to the best place for lunch n to buy souvenir. During the end of the trip I left my hat back in the van which he was so kind n helpful to come back to return it. It was our best trip ever.
