What people are saying about Český Krumlov

Incredible Day Trip with an Incredible Tour Guide!

We had the privilege of touring with Petr from Gray Line in Prague. His depth of knowledge of the historical facts was astounding. He was very willing to answer any and all questions. This made the trip "come alive' for us and created a wonderful camaraderie as we spent over 6 hours in the touring van with him. The tour of the Rosenberg Palace was amazing in terms of the preservation of the furnishings from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. The town of Cesky Krumlov is a jewel and is so perfect it could be a movie set! If you have time, spend the night in this magical town. If you have only a short visit to Prague be sure to fit this trip in on your schedule and definitely request "Petr" from Gray LIne Tours. He was just superb.

Great day trip from Prague! Highly recommend.

The driver (Votje) was very prompt and very friendly. We chatted on the drive there and back. The van was very nicely equipped for 6 people with lots of space for bags, etc...Once at the Cesky Krumlov, Votje gave us a guided tour of the garden, then we walked down into the castle and the town. Votje recommended some great shops to eat at, and at the end of the day we had about an hour of free time to do some shopping/site seeing. Everybody in our group was blown away by how beautiful Cesky Krumlov was and talked about it entire time we were in the Czech Republic.

Very interesting day out with an informative guide.

This was an excellent tour. It should, however, be made clear that a fair degree of walking iis involved in Cesky Krumlov. I read the small print very carefully before booking as I have a slipped disc & knew I wouldn't be able to walk far. By the time we'd walked down through the castle gardens to the lunch stop, I was in too much pain to walk back up to the castle for the tour, which was a disappointment.

Enjoyed the personal experiences shared on the tour

Our guide was not only knowledgeable on the history of Cesky Krumlov, but also shared her own personal experiences of living and growing up in the Czech Republic. This added an element which you normally would not have on the larger group tours and was very insightful and appreciated. She also made some specific recommendations on additional places to visit that day after our walking tour was completed.

Breathtaking views from the bridge and the Castle

The tour was organised very well and in a comfortable minivan. Stops were good both to view interesting areas and short breaks. The only item I wish to highlight, is that it would be more appropriate if an hour is given to stroll around the Castle village and adjacent streets, have some more time to view souvenirs and view shops. The guide was very professional and knowledgeable.
