Full description
Your rafting adventure starts with an early pick-up at your hotel in downtown El Calafate. From there, drive 140 miles to reach El Chaltén. Enjoy some leisure time from 11 AM to 3 PM to walk around town and explore the nearby natural highlights of the area.

Meet up with your tour guide again and begin to prepare for your moderately difficult rafting adventure in the River Las Vueltas. Go to the headquarters, where you’ll be provided with the technical equipment. Before embarking, your guide will brief you about safety while paddling, and you’ll board the boat with a group of 8 more people.

For the first 2.5 miles, you’ll float through tranquil waters to practice your rowing skills while admiring the local vegetation and grazing cows on the coast. Glide forward with Mount Fitz Roy at your back, and reach the 5 mile rapid area where your rafting adventure begins.

End the experience with a peaceful float back to the headquarters and enjoy a boxed lunch before returning back to El Calafate in the late afternoon.
