Full description
Explore the beauty of Scotland’s Highlands on a 12-hour scenic driving tour by comfortable coach. Following a hotel pick-up in central Edinburgh, you will head towards Stirling, catching views of the Castle and Wallace Monument. Continue towards Callander, and stop for morning coffee, and the chance to meet “Hamish the Hairy Coo.”

Head northwards to the Highlands over Rannoch Moor, until you reach the dark, brooding Pass of Glencoe, where you will stop to learn the haunting story of the famous massacre of 1692. After crossing Loch Leven at Ballachulish, stop for lunch in the Fort William area, then follow the course of the Caledonian Canal up the Great Glen to Fort Augustus on Loch Ness.

Here, you have the option to cruise on the loch for approximately 1 hour, or relax in the tranquil village on the banks of the loch. After Loch Ness you will head South East and take in magnificent views of Loch Laggan.

You should catch a quick view of the magnificent Blair Castle, home of the Dukes of Atholl for over 700 years, before making a stop in picturesque Pitlochry, a delightful Victorian resort town. Then head south through the Kingdom of Fife, past Perth and over the Forth Road Bridge alongside the amazing Forth Bridge before arriving back in Edinburgh.

The tour was brilliant with a lot of things to see! Our driver, Brendan was extremely entertaining and turned what would be a long drive into something better with his humour, lovely puns and stories about the things we visited and saw. Definitely learned a thing or two from him about Scotland's history. You have the opportunity to go on a boat ride on the Loch Ness as well, not mandatory but still enjoyable. The journey was fantastic overall and would definitely recommend for those who would be interested to see a piece of Scotland, outside the cities. The highlands were superb and breathtaking, you won't regret going for the trip!

The tour was an excellent way to discover the highlands and the Loch Ness area. There was a hotel pick up and drop off which I am not sure is done by other companies. Jamie was our driver-guide and was pretty cool and funny guy that showed us around and told us about the history of the place (accompanied by the proper music). If you want a taste of the highlands I would strongly recommend this one!

The trip is wonderful both route-wise and in the aspect of comfort. The bus is warm, clean and has a toilet inside. The driver who also acts as a guide is untireable, good humoured, polite and highly competent - ours was Bryan! The views during the tour are indescribable. Plenty of coffee and toilet breaks. Absolutely worth the price.
